• HC8 Galapagos Islands DX-pedition by Ukrainians

Ukrainian DXpeditioners Team (UDXT) members namely:
Sergey/UX0HX (HC8/UX0HX), Max/UZ1HZ (HC8/UZ1HZ), Len/UR3HR (HC8/UR3HR) and Alex/UT5UY (HC8/UT5UY), will be active from Galapagos Islands IOTA SA-004 between 24 and 29 April 2008. They plan to operate CW, SSB, PSK and RTTY on 160-6 metres with two stations and emphasis on the LOW and WARC bands.
QSL via home calls direct or through the Ukrainian bureau.
This expedition became possible due to financial support of UX0HX&UZ1HZ HAM Radio Family.

Two lighthouses has been activated by our friend Sergey (US4LGW/P) during his summer holidays:
- August 28 - September 05, 2007 - Vitino Lighthouse ARLHS UKR 117 (nr Yevpatoria, Black Sea, 45° 12,1’ N & 33° 09,2’ E); this is a new one LH;
- September 06 - September 08, 2007 - Yevpatorijsky Lighthouse ARLHS UKR 017, ULA-018.

UT7L team members UT5UY, UX0LL and three other hams (UR3HR, UR7HTX, UR7HTZ) will be active as:
3D2AP, 3D2TZ, 3D2UY - IOTA OC-016 Taveuni Island, Fiji. April, 27 - May, 03 2007;
3D2RI - IOTA OC-189 Yanuca Island, Ringgold Isles Group, Fiji. May, 03 - May, 07 2007.
The Ringgold Isles (IOTA OC-189) are an archipelago in Fiji, forming an outlier group to Vanua Levu. The group is mostly uninhabited.
Location: 15º55' - 16º43'S - 179º05' - 179º50'W.
OC-189 have been activated first and last time by famous radioamateur FRANCO ARMENGHI I4LCK in 1994.
And for today this group is one of the Most Wanted IOTA and Most Wanted Fijian IOTA Group. Credited to 7.8% of IOTA Chasers records.

Идея организации экспедиции на Косу Обиточную была высказана в начале 2006-го года Сергеем US4LGW и Игорем UR4LTX.
После сбора информации о предполагаемом месте экспедиции, мы узнали массу нового о месте поездки. Важнее всего было то, что теоретически, имелась возможность попасть на Косу Обиточную, несмотря на то, что это заповедник.

• IOTA AS-126

International group of operators, namely Champ E21EIC (Team leader), Dej E21YDP, Bruce AA4XR, also HS0ZCY and Alex UT5UY will operate mainly as E21EIC/P on 10-160 metres CW, SSB and digital modes from one of the most wanted Thailand IOTA - Lipe Island (IOTA AS-126), Malay Peninsula South West group. Also operators will use their own Thai callsigns. Activity will take place from 08 December till 13 December. QSL cards via home calls.
